If you can beat 299 steps up to the top of the Pilsen Tower a splendid view of the city surroundings and the whole Pilsen Region will be your reward. It is said that in good weather you can see not only the hills of the Šumava mountains but also the peaks of the Alps. The tower of the St. Bartholomew Cathedral is the highest church tower in the Czech Republic, and even in the song it is mentioned that the tower goes above the hills.
